Craftsnob shared this wonderful tutorial on how to create a beautiful birdcage ornament with wire, toothpick and ribbon. It is making me want to dig up my soldering tools and start making hundreds of these. It is such a great idea and so creative. I'm gonna have to try this out. Find the tutorial here:

Treegold & Beegold: Tutorial: Crochet Acorn Pattern
I found this great acorn crochet tutorial from Treegold & Beegold. It is a great pattern for making little acorns for Thanksgiving and I was also thinking they would great if adapted as a Christmas tree ornament. I love handmade ornaments and I have plans to make more of those.

Beautiful new placemats
I created these two sets of crochet placemats using the same style of edging as in my last doily rug. I just love them so much, they really turned out great!
I made the green set first, as green is my ultimately favorite color. I think I have written about my love of green before too. I want to make one set for myself too! The white set will work with any color. The color reminds me of freshly fallen snow.
Here they are with Finnish china :)

New doily crochet rug is finally finished
I am always developing new rug design and I have been working on this doily crochet rug what seems to have been weeks. I kept on crocheting it and then unraveled it all at least 3 times. Then last week I finally came up with a way to make it work and I finished it today. I used a cotton yarn in this project and I doubled it for extra thickness. I think it turned out pretty nice, feel free to comment.
Oh and the chair on top of the rug is an old flea market treasure. It used to be a horrible yellow and brown, I reupholstered it with a neutral green print that works great in my decor.

Last weeks project: Crochet coasters
Last week I created some crochet coasters. I just love green as people who have been in my home will know. Green is everywhere. It felt only natural to use green. I also love teal blue.
I used 100% cotton yarn, it's so easy to work with and easy to wash. The coasters can be found in my Etsy store Henna's Boutique
